HHS proposes expanding Medicare
Starting Jan. 1, Medicare will cover annual wellness visits so doctors and patients can develop a personalized prevention plan that takes a comprehensive approach to improving the patient's health. Also, Medicare patients will no longer have to pay any out-of-pocket costs for most preventive services, including the annual wellness visit.

The truth is that employer-based plans, which many assumed would easily be categorized as grandfathered, will be subject to the full regulatory thrust of the new law if they are altered in ways that are standard practice in the industry. Congress votes to spare doctors from Medicare cuts
Congress has passed a bill to temporarily spare doctors from a scheduled 21 percent cut in Medicare payments. The measure would delay cuts through the end of November while lawmakers work on a more permanent solution. The bill now goes to President Barack Obama for his signature.

Drug Rebate Is Mailed Out
